In this course, attendees will be privy to 42 years of motor experience. The following topics will be covered:
How proper maintenance practice increases motor life expectancy.

Fall Protection - Audience: Intro to Advanced Riggers and Everyone in Between

In this course, we will focus on the proper use of personal fall arrest and will study systems that provide us to safely perform work in elevated areas. 


This is a great intro class, but is relevant to those riggers who might need a reminder. We will focus on:

  • Procedures for continuous Safety at Heights
  • How to select, apply, and use your fall protection systems.

Common Sense Rigging Fundamentals - Audience: Intro to Advanced Riggers and Everyone in Between

We know there is a lot to learn about gravity and how to respect it. Students will learn:

  • Basic terms & equipment used
  • Basic rigging planning
  • Determining the weight of objects being lifted
  • How to determine the center of gravity of objects being lifted
  • How to figure out the stresses on the rigging system.


Perhaps the most important element is to this course is that we pay particular attention to basic safety information for lifts. 

Motor Tech Service Program: One-Day - ONSITE

This basic hoist school taught on-site. This is a perfect marriage of electrical theory and practical hands-on learning, where we actually take a hoist apart and see how the parts move. 


 Students will take a test at the end of the course. will receive a certificate of completion is aware of the requirements of ASME B30.16 (Overhead Underhung and Stationary Hoists) and ANSI E1.6-2.  


You should expect to learn at the end of this class:

  • How to routinely inspect motors to determine whether it is functioning properly,
  • Identifying problematic issues that will interfere with the operations of the hoist & trouble-shooting.
  • How to know exactly when it is time to send a hoist to the the master technician.

Masters Service Tech: Three-Day - ONSITE

This is three-day course is an intense study of hoists, what makes them tick and you to test and abide by regulations. 


Students will take a test at the end of the course. will receive a certificate of completion is aware of the requirements of ASME B30.16 (Overhead Underhung and Stationary Hoists) and ANSI E1.6-2. 

  • We completely open up a hoist to see what makes it tick.
  • Sharp troubleshooting techniques taught in creative scenarios.
  • Deep dive into standards, regulations, and common market practices.
  • You will learn the importance of load- testing and record- keeping.
